Günter Eggers has been with NTT Global Data Centers EMEA GmbH since 2012, where he heads the Public Sector division. He is also responsible for political communication in Germany. For more than 20 years, he has worked in consulting and sales for leading international companies in the ICT sector. He has extensive experience in IT security, critical infrastructure and sustainability, particularly through his work on large IT consolidation projects for security and environmentally conscious clients. Günter Eggers studied electrical engineering in Berlin and graduated as an engineer. His studies and professional activities have given him a particular interest in power consumption and energy efficiency in data centers. For several years he has been working intensively on the use of waste heat from data centres and is driving several major projects in this area. He is actively involved in the dialogue between the data centre industry and policy makers, particularly through his work in major industry associations. He has also been invited as an expert to the German Bundestag. Günter Eggers is a regular speaker at industry events, focusing on the sustainable expansion and secure operation of digital infrastructures.
