CS® Connector Intermateability Standard Published
Marlborough, MA — Senko Advanced Components, Inc. (SENKO) has announced that its own internally developed connector, CS Connector, is now standardized by Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). TIA has published ANSI/TIA-604-19 Type SEN** on 7/30/2021, which is the intermateability standard of CS Connector, Adapter, and Transceiver. Currently, SENKO has licensed its technology out to 10+ leading transceiver and connector manufacturers, including Applied Optoelectronics Inc., Cambridge Industries Group, Eoptolink, Innolight, II-VI, O-Net Technologies, and Source Photonics.
CS has been widely adopted in many applications including transceivers, high-density patch panels, cassette, and fiber optic cable assembly. The CS connector has been installed and tested in multiple markets such as Enterprise, Data Center, Telecommunication Services, and Broadband Services.
In 2019, CS Consortium launched with six founding members: Eoptolink, Go!Foton, Legrand, Molex, Panduit and Senko. The consortium focuses on educating end-users and design consultants about the technical advantages of using CS-based high-density connectivity solutions. Participating members of the CS Consortium share their resources to fund communications initiatives. These activities, which are directed by the Communications Committee, include the development of white papers, case studies, trade press articles, and presentations. The CS Consortium represents technology leaders committed to providing the most current, reliable, and vendor-neutral information about fiber optics and related technologies for advancing new and better communications solutions.
Bernard Lee, Director of Technology and Innovation at SENKO says, “the team at SENKO has been putting in 110% into the development of the CS connector and seeing it published as an Industry standard is extremely rewarding to say the least.”.
