How Water Mist works:

In the event of a fire, high-pressure pumps convey pure water through small stainless steel pipes to special nozzles. The nozzles produce fine droplets with an average size of 50 to 100 microns. Compared to the much larger sprinkler drops, these have approximately 100 times the water surface area, over which the energy of the fire is quickly absorbed by the water. At the same time, these droplets bind smoke particles and wash out water-soluble acidic gases. Water leakage is restricted to the area where the nozzles were triggered.
