Super Capacitors - replacement for Batteries

Super Capacitors have a long service life of over 20 years and can be transported in airplanes and on the road without restrictions. They hardly age even when stored for a long time at room temperature or low temperatures, are not endangered by deep discharge and can reach charging cycles in the tens of thousands range. All of this makes them ideal energy storage devices for UPS systems, as buffering solutions to mask short gaps/power outages/grid variations, or enabling operators to reduce energy costs by storing electrical energy during times of day when it is least expensive.
