Panduit has added an efficient solution to its FlexFusion IT rack family. Designed specifically for cost-sensitive network and server applications, the new IT racks with the XGL suffix offer ample capacity even with high cable densities in data centres, enterprise or colocation environments. The lockable doors allow users to securely store their 19" IT rack equipment and benefit from numerous cable management enhancements. Attention has been paid to optimising thermal airflow so that the FlexFusion XGL can be used in hot/cold aisles or for thermally sensitive applications.  

The cabinets are made of welded steel and are available in widths of 600 mm and 800 mm, depths of 1070 mm and 1200 mm and heights of 42U (height units) and 48U: Both the one-piece front door and the two-piece rear door have a perforation level of 80%, which ensures better ventilation of the active components. At the same time, the door is mechanically extremely stable.
The door also has a maximum opening angle of 170 degrees.

The side panels are divided horizontally into two parts for ease of assembly/disassembly.
Cable entry brushes in the roof reduce air mixing.
The highly reflective white colour promotes energy efficiency.

The front and rear 19" shelves (cage-nut profile) can be moved freely. This feature provides maximum scalability for future MAC (Move Access Change): Change of network installation location, access, expansion). The maximum static load is 1,600 kg and the maximum dynamic load (rolling load) is 454 kg. This makes the XGL Series suitable for heavier and high-density applications.

The FlexFusion XGL range of distribution enclosures includes all the accessories required for professional installation and operation. Levelling feet, castor sets, baying connectors, PDU holders, vertical cable management, electronic door locks and sensors.
All the accessories in the distribution enclosure system automatically establish a potential equalisation connection during assembly, eliminating the need for tedious earthing connections.

Panduit's new FlexFusion XGL enclosure system complies with EIA-310-E, TIA/EIA-942 and UL2416 standards.
